ITS BACK TO BACK CROWN FOR TEAM CHERIFER! DEFEATS ISCOF BY PENALTIES 3-0 AT 2017 MAYOR BIRON INTERCOLLEGIATE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Barotac Nuevo, Ilo-Ilo; June 13, 2017 - With powerhouse Manila and Visayan Teams raring to be declared the best in the country, Team Cherifer (AU-FlameUtdCheriferFc) went to a tough group with all its elimination games went into draws and somehow find its slim chance gained so much with inconsistent performances from other teams and eventually qualified to the final four. As University of Sto. Tomas (UST) Tigers, a former champion in this tournament bid early goodbye, and hometown favorite Barotac Selection and University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) gaining momentum with their win in the last of their games in the elimination round, and Ilo-Ilo State College of Fisheries (ISCOF), another strong favorite, on the other hand was winning with an average of 3 goals per game but had tough draw with Team Cherifer, it was anybody's ballgame going to final four. When everybody settled in, and dust went down, ISCOF and Team Cherifer stood up their ground and face each other at the finals. The championship game was tough and physical as both team had their chances but it was Team Cherifer who dominated the regulations when 3 times they had one on one attack to the goalkeeper and another 2 chances but went for naught as all the chances of Team Cherifer just missed the mark. When the regulations ended, the 2 teams has to slug it out in penalties where the Team Cherifer hoisting the tall championship trophy by winning the 2017 Mayor Biron Intercollegiate National Championship in a 3-0 tough victory. GK Jericho Desalisa emerge as the hero as he saved all the ISCOF shots against him that eventually earned him the Best Goal Keeper Award. Patrick Bernarte once again showed his all around play and was declared the MVP while Jerome Banasihan was adjudged the Best Defeder. The team on the other hand was awarded the Fair Play Award. Team Cherifer's back to back championship victory were supported by Arellano University, Intermed brand Cherifer, Flame United Cherifer FC and Cavite Football Association.

TEAM CHERIFER SWEPT METRO MEN, CHAMPS ANEW AT MABUHAY CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Alabang Country Club, Muntinlupa City – In a battle between top teams without loss on its way to the home and away championship format at the Finals of the Under 18 Mabuhay Champions League, Flame United Cherifer-Arellano University (FUCFC-AU) showed toughness and superior skills against another league favorite Metro Manila FC (MMFC) as Team Cherifer made a sweeping with 2 win victories in the finals culminating last July 30, 2016. Metro Manila FC came prepared in game 1 by holding on in the early part of the game but has to give up 2 goals and eventually lost to the smaller but quicker Team Cherifer. In game 2, Team Cherifer entered the game like a raging bull in the 1st half with MJ Canicaso scoring a goal with a long shot slipping at MMFC’s Goal Keepers hands and ball hitting the back of the net to start the scoring barrage. John Ford Man-onan then followed through outplaying the MMFC Goal Keeper to make the score at 2-0. At the mid part of the 1st half, Spencer Galasa passed a perfect cross to Man-onan and scored a well-placed header to an insurmountable 3 – 0 lead. Spencer Galasa stole the ball on the next play and dribble past 3 MMFC defenders and slammed the ball hard out of reach of MMFC Goal Keeper to make the score out of reach at 4 – 0. Out of frustration MMFC defender deliberately tacked striking Galasa inside the penalty area in the ensuing play where Spencer Galasa calmly scored a goal via penalty to end the first half at 5 – 0. With huge confidence within the Team Cherifer, Coach Ravelo Saluria began to give breaks to other players resting most of the first eleven, but MMFC wouldn’t just buck down, MMFC came in stronger in the second half and manage to score 2 goals more. Team Cherifer ended victorious with an aggregate Final Score of 7 – 2 in a home and away format. Bill Dominic Tac-an was awarded the best player of the game, Ace Roldan was adjudged Best Defender, Best Goal Keeper went to RV Brillantes. John Ford Kelly Man-onan was given a special award for his impressive goal. Team Cherifer now holds 2016 Under 18 category and the defending champions for Under 15 and Men’s Open Categories.

ARELLANO U - FLAME UTD CHERIFER SURVIVED ANOTHER HORRENDOUS OFFICIATING, BAGGED INTERCOLLEGIATE TITLE VIA SHOOT OUT TO DEPOSE DEFENDING CHAMPS UST 3-2
Barotac Nuevo, IloIlo - With what could be a jubiliation for Cherifer Men when forward Charles Gamutan scaped UST Tigers defenders and struck a goal at the 89th minute amid countless bad calls at the regulation period by the same referee whose been observed to be biased against the Flaming Chiefs, the referee get back again by over extending the game by 3 minutes and awarded the defending champion UST with a penalty to equalize the game at 1-1 to reach shoot out. The extension was announced at 3 minutes but the penalty was called at the 6th minute of the extension. For some reasons, this particular referee started its biased officiating Versus Cherifer Men during the U22 National Championship Semis game against Negros team. Same happened at the semis in this prestigious football invitational and now at the finals game itself. In one instance, striker Jumbel Guinabang completely outplayed Tiger's last man and the defender intentionally brought down Jumbel from behind, but despite the referees clear view, he ignored the foul and no penalty was awarded to Guinabang. But no matter how biased officiating was, Arellano U Flame Utd Cherifer FC showed how determined the team was and eventually snatched the Championship 3-2 against the UST and crowned themselves the new king of the Barotac Nuevos premier collegiate football league, the Mayor Biron Intercollegiate Invitational which was held June 8-13, 2016. The Mayor himself graced the full packed awarding ceremony where Patrick Bernarte was chosen as the MVP and Jericho Desalisa as the Best Goalkeeper. The crown means a lot to Cherifer Men as they earned the bragging rights as the best of the best in the Philippines' football capital. It was also a glorious day for coaches Ravelo and Judy Saluria and other Cherifer Men from Barotac as they offered the win to their hometown.

CAVITE - FLAME UTD CHERIFER FC UNLEASHES WRATH, DROWNED LISTLESS MISAMIS 4-0 TO SNATCH 3RD PLACE AT U22 NATIONAL AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
Panaad Park and Stadium, Bacolod City - Cavite Football Association Team, the Flame United Cherifer FC unleashed its wrath and came in at their game for 3rd place on January 31, 2016, all fired up to show the world they deserve respect trashed their Mindanao counterpart, the Misamis Occidental FA, 4 - 0. Team CAFA started with their engines roaring as Striker Charles Gamutan dribbled his way past MOOFA defenders and gave CAFA early lead at 1-0. Several more attempts by CAFA shredded MOOFA's defense but could not complete the attack thus ended the 1st half at 1 - nil. Second half was no different with Cavite Strikers continued their domination with Charles Gamutan scoring 2 more goals to give the Team Cherifer much breathing space and almost secure the win with his hat trick. With the game winding down, winger James Ayuban took a long shot from downtown that confused Misamis GK and ended with the ball finding its way at the back of the net to seal the victory at 4-0. Cavite is now the highest ranked team from Luzon at 3rd. FLAME UNITED CHERIFER FC: FLAME UTD & INTERMED, PARTNERSHIP WITH A CAUSE. With 4 championship trophies and 2 runner - up finishes from 7 different tournaments this 2013, Flame United Cherifer FC (FUCFC) is again supported by Intermed Marketing Philippines , inc. through its brand Cherifer. With this, the club was able to map out its objective for its 2013-2014 Season. The Club participated in four tournaments this year in preparation to its final objective which is to participate in 2013 PFF Smart National Men's Club Championship. The club had their victories at 7th CAFA Cup, 4th Cherifer Festival, 1st Cavite Cup, 2013 Philippine National Games Futsal Tournament and was able to win the provincial eliminations of the PFF Smart Club Championship. After which, the club won the Regional Finals against Rizal FA's San Beda-Mendiola FC to advance to the next round. The team moved on and qualified on the national eliminations and the semifinals. The club re-wrote PFF history as the first probationary member to reach final four in the 3rd PFF Smart Club Championship. Flame United Cherifer FC team members are mostly coming from economically challenge environment. The club partnered with Arellano University and Philippine Christian University where FUCFC member plays for the schools varsity team and at the same time attend to their education.
