CAFA FLAME UNITED CHERIFER FC (7) VS. NAGAFA CBSUAFC (0)
Bacolod City, Negros Occidental - Cavite FA's Flame United Cherifer FC totally outclassed Naga city CamSur FA's CBSUA as Cherifer powered Cavite Club freezed their Bicolano counterpart 7 - 0 to start their campaign in the quarterfinals of the 3rd PFF Smart National Men's Club Championships. Flame United striker Billy Shin started early with a clean shot at the goal just 50 seconds into the game. Fellow striker Song Woo followed at the 15 minute and 30th minute. The rest of the team joined the scoring barrage. Attacking Midfield Jumar Dexisne hit a goal on the 19th minute while winger Dhan Orcine scored on the 23rd minute. Two more goals were added at the 2nd half. Striker Alvin Obero slipped on the CBSUA's defense and scored on the 52nd minute and striker Kenneth de Leon finished the onslaught on the 79th minute. Tomorrow's game will feat winners and losers of the opening day with Team CAFA taking on NOFA while NCCSFA will be against Bukidnon counterpart.

Bacolod City, Negros Occidental - Going to its 2nd day of competition in the 3rd PFF Smart National Club Championships, Team CAFA's Flame United Cherifer FC tasted its first defeat at the hands of host and defending champion Ceres FC of NOFA, 3 - 0. The Cherifer boys had the chance to score but wasn't able to connect a clear man to man situation for a potential draw. 2 more on goals by the Cavite based club pushed them to the edge of their first defeat of the tournament. Tomorrow's game will be a must win game as they need to win against Del Monte FC of Bukidnon FA to advance to the semis.

Bacolod City, Negros Occidental - Team CAFA Flame United Cherifer FC became the first PFF probationary member to reach the semifinal stage of the PFF Smart National Club Championship as the Cherifer boys shrugged off a shaky start to eke out a close victory against Bukidnon FA DelMonte FC 2 - 1. The DelMonte strikers sneaked a goal in the first half but flame strikers regrouped and with steady defense and teamwork, strikers Billy Shin and Song Woo finally scored a double to let the Cavite Club formally advance to the next stage and wrote another history.

Panaad Stadium, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental – Cavite Football Association’s (CAFA) representative to 2013 PFF Smart National Men’s Club Championship Flame United Cherifer FC end its championship hope with a double semifinal loss to heavy favorite Leyte FA's Global FC. 0-4 and 0-5.
The journey to the top was challenging for the Cavite based football club from the very start. With inferior financial and logistical strength, the Cherifer boys had to ride and endure a 36 hour bus (RORO) ride from Cavite to Bago City encountering natural and man made disasters along the way. With all those physical challenges and little rest, they immediately let their presence felt at the start of the Group B National Eliminations with a no mercy win over its Bicolano Counterpart routing Naga Cam Sur FA's CBSUAFC 7 - 0. The next game feats the Cherifer Boys against the host and defending Champion Ceres FC where the upset conscious Flame Strikers made a galant stand before losing 0 - 3. The third game is a must win game for Team CAFA to advance to the next round. Cherifer Boys had a rough start as Bukidbon FA's Del Monte FC scored a goal in the first half. But the Flame United Strikers regrouped and made a double in the second half to eventually advance to the semifinal round and arrange a showdown against the powerful Global FC and end the National Club Championship run making it in the PFF history as the first probationary member to enter the final four.
